Pete Poli fights for the taxpayers and residents, and he has been instrumental in the important changes that have happened in Salem Lakes. He pushes back on the village administration when he believes their policies are not proper and questions if their vision is the best for the village when warranted. Rest assured, Pete is NO RUBBER STAMPER.
Over the last year, Pete has accomplished the following:
1. Pete was the main resident who offered his expertise in the changing of the Vamar/Yaws subdivision sewer project. This will save the Village 5-10 million depending on the final plan. The administration, and certain trustees, gave Pete significant pushback to his proposed plan. He could have given up, yet he pushed forward to convince the majority of the board members that he was right. Even the administration and staff eventually saw the plan as being to correct one due to it being significantly less costly and logical. This was a big win for Salem Lakes!
2. Pete played a critical role in crafting the property maintenance policy that stopped selective enforcement by staff and citizens. This is a policy that not many municipalities in the state have dared to create. This was a huge milestone for Salem Lakes.
3. Pete has been constantly involved with the village from being the chairman of the board of review, to becoming a village trustee, and now he is a critical member of the Economic Development Committee. Sacrifices like his are what truly help make positive change in the community.
4. Pete’s focus has always been on what can make life in Salem Lakes better for our taxpayers. He is always willing to meet residents to hear about and gain an understanding of their particular issues so he can help come up with a resolution to their problems if possible.
5. Pete has a solid endorsement of the Village President Rita Bucur and most of the board as well due to his leadership qualities. If you do not believe us show up to a board meeting to see how he fights for the residents of this village.
Vote for Pete Poli on April 1st and support the positive change happening in the Village of Salem Lakes
